Neuropathy Treatment
Neuropathy Treatment in Cleveland, Ohio
Patients across Northeast Ohio with numbness, tingling, or burning pain travel to our Aurora office for a four-step neuropathy protocol led by Dr. Nicholas Toumazos.
Overview
A Neuropathy Option for Cleveland Patients
If you have been told that numbness, tingling, or burning pain in your feet or hands just has to be managed, Explore Family Chiropractic offers a different path. We treat neuropathy patients from across Northeast Ohio at our office at 344 Aurora Commons Circle in Aurora. We do not have a Cleveland office; every visit takes place in Aurora.
Our neuropathy protocol was featured in an unsolicited News 5 Cleveland Spotlight5 segment, "Managing Neuropathy with Explore Family Chiropractic," which profiled Dr. Nicholas Toumazos's four-step approach as a non-medication option for Northeast Ohio patients.

Who We Treat
Who We Treat
Neuropathy cases at our practice usually fall into these groups:
Diabetic Neuropathy
Diabetic Neuropathy Needs Its Own Plan
Diabetes is one of the most common causes of peripheral neuropathy. Elevated blood sugar can damage small nerve fibers and restrict circulation to the hands and feet, so our protocol pairs chiropractic and StemWave care with Dr. Mayes's nutritional and metabolic support. If diabetes is part of your picture, tell us at your first visit so we can build your plan around it from day one.
First Visit
Your First Neuropathy Visit
Your first visit starts with a real conversation about your symptoms and health history. Dr. Toumazos or Dr. Mayes then performs a thorough exam, checking nerve conduction and sensitivity patterns, spinal alignment, circulation, and, when relevant, metabolic markers like blood sugar. If imaging is needed, we review it together before recommending a plan.
Your plan is built around what your exam shows, not a generic package. We will also tell you plainly if your case needs a referral outside our office. Results are not instant and are not the same for every patient; your exam and history determine a realistic timeline.
Related Care

Neuropathy often overlaps with other health issues, so patients from the area can use related services in the same office. Dr. Mayes leads metabolic health, gut health, and weight loss support, and our team also provides sports chiropractic, back pain relief, and arthritis-related care. Keeping this care under one roof helps your neuropathy plan stay coordinated instead of spread across several providers.
