Overview

Neuropathy Care for Cuyahoga Falls Residents

Peripheral neuropathy can make walking, sleeping, and simple daily tasks harder than they should be. Explore Family Chiropractic helps patients from across nearby Summit and Portage County communities with a four-step, non-medication neuropathy protocol. Our office is in Aurora at 344 Aurora Commons Circle; we do not have an office in Cuyahoga Falls, and patients from there visit us in Aurora.

Care is led by Dr. Nicholas Toumazos, who built the protocol, and Dr. Lauren Mayes, who leads its nutritional and metabolic side. The approach was profiled by News 5 Cleveland's Spotlight5 in the segment "Managing Neuropathy with Explore Family Chiropractic."

What Happens at Your First Visit

We start with a real conversation about your symptoms and history, not a rushed intake form. Dr. Toumazos or Dr. Mayes then performs a thorough exam of nerve conduction and sensitivity patterns, spinal alignment, circulation, and, when relevant, blood sugar and other metabolic markers. Any needed imaging is reviewed with you before a plan is recommended.

Your plan may lean more on Torque Release Technique adjustments, StemWave therapy, spinal decompression, or nutritional and metabolic support, depending on what your exam shows. If your case needs a referral outside our office, we will say so plainly.

First Visit

Between Visits

Many patients ask about acupressure for numb feet. Gently working specific points on the feet, hands, and lower legs can offer some patients temporary relief, and Dr. Toumazos or Dr. Mayes can show you which points fit your symptoms. Acupressure does not address the compression, circulation, or metabolic issue driving your neuropathy, so think of it as a complement to care, not a substitute.

Related Care

Related Care at Our Aurora Office

Neuropathy often overlaps with other health issues, so local patients can use related services in the same office. Dr. Mayes leads metabolic health, gut health, and weight loss support, and our team also provides sports chiropractic, back pain relief, and arthritis-related care. Keeping this care under one roof helps your neuropathy plan stay coordinated instead of spread across several providers.

What Patients From Cuyahoga Falls Ask Us.

No. It combines Torque Release Technique adjustments, StemWave therapy, spinal decompression when indicated, and nutritional and metabolic support.

Diabetic neuropathy is one of the groups we treat. Tell us about your diabetes at your first visit so Dr. Mayes can build blood sugar and metabolic support into your plan.

Results vary by patient, and improvement usually takes consistent care over time. Your exam and history determine whether the protocol fits and what a realistic timeline looks like.
