About Explore Family Chiropractic
Chiropractic Adjustment Techniques
At Explore Family Chiropractic your comfort is our number one priority. Dr. Nick and Dr. Lauren will always explain to you what is going on during your visit and adjustment. We are committed to helping you achieve a better way of life, and we always want you to feel as comfortable as possible. Our practice offers individualized approaches which are selected to suit the patient. For children, this may require adjusting them while they are asleep or at play – we are trained to adapt to individual practice member needs.
The doctors are skilled in safe and effective techniques. We are specialized in a gentle and specific adjusting technique called “Torque Release Technique” that uses an instrument to facilitate the adjustment. We also offer a traditional manual adjusting technique depending on the needs of the practice member. Many of our patients enjoy the benefits of having their extremities adjusted. From athletes looking to have the competitive edge, and young children who are always active, to adults with bad knees, this is ideal for most of our practice members.

At Explore Family Chiropractic, our patients enjoy the benefits of using an intersegmental traction table. This table helps to gently re-establish the normal ranges of the body’s spine and helps reduce muscle spasms by allowing the muscles to relax. Use in conjunction with chiropractic care, the intersegmental table helps to facilitate the best results possible for you and your family’s health!
Our In Office Technology
The CLA INSiGHT Millennium NeuralTherm Scanner is a chiropractic instrument that can detect hidden patterns of stress and tension, shedding a light on internal changes in the body. By establishing a baseline and identifying potential problem areas, the INSiGHT™ technology helps us determine the most effective path when caring for each patient. Daily stress can damage health by creating fatigue, back pain, and lowered immune resistance. Accurately measuring the effects of stressors on the nervous system allows us to provide our patients with better care. Dr. Nick and Dr. Lauren utilizes the information gathered in the scans during your initial examination, as well as intermittent progress examinations to determine the course of your care and improvement.
What is a Vertebral Subluxation?
When a vertebrae becomes misaligned or moves out of its normal position, this is referred to in the chiropractic profession as a subluxation. Subluxations can be caused by a wide range of issues ranging from a minor slip, to a car accident or any sudden trauma. When a vertebrae is subluxated, it begins to put pressure on nerves, blood vessels, organs, tissues, glands, and everything around it. As time goes by and a subluxation remains uncorrected, the spine and surrounding features begin to degenerate. This degeneration becomes more difficult to reverse as time goes by as the surrounding muscles, nerves and bones begin to alter to the new form. The body is an amazing machine. It will start to accommodate these changes by compensating in other areas. The longer the subluxation is left uncorrected, the more difficult it is and the longer it takes to get back to near perfect position.
